Hi Parents/Guardians

It seems as though some people already know, but I just wanted to make sure the message was coming from me. I have been surplussed this year (we don't have as many teaching positions next year and I have the least seniority) and will be teaching at a different school next year.

I wanted to thank all of you for you support. The Beddington Heights parents and community have been such a pleasure to work with over the last 3 years. Thank you for your trust and support. You have raised wonderful children and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to work with them.

I posted this message on our Google Classroom stream. 

So it seems as though some of you may have already heard. I will be teaching at a different school next year. It has been so amazing to teach at BHS over the last 3 years. I have loved every second of it! I am so thankful that I got to teach our amazing class this year and will always remember each and every one of you!

I promised to come visit you next year! You are going to be tremendous school leaders. Your grade 6 teachers will be so lucky to have you in their classes :)

Today was a very exciting day. We had Ignite, Music, Math, PE, Language Arts speech presentations, and an amazing guest Opera performance in the afternoon! In Math students finished up their first data assignments. That is the last amount of class time they will receive and will have to be completed when they are finished other work or at home. The task is due Thursday. We are still working our way through speeches. They will be presented over the next few days. Reminders: We have a field trip on Wednesday to Safety Expo which is help down town at City Hall and surrounding areas. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Today we began our fractions unit in Math. Students started by creating fraction slips and then comparing fractions utilizing greater than, less than, and equal to with a partner.  In Language Arts students received their new words for the week. Students also continued  to type up the rough draft of their stories this week. The first draft of their story is due (typed up on Google Docs) by Wednesday. They will receive two more days to work on it at school. In Science we studies for our electricity unit test tomorrow. Students were given time to study in the class and ask questions. They were also given a study sheet for them to review tonight if they felt they needed a bit more time to study.  We also had Music, Ignite, and PE.  Mr. Berry created a website for our grade team. Hope everyone is doing well! Tomorrow I will be available from 8:30-9:30 in Google Meet to answer any questions you may have. In the afternoon at 12:30 pm I will be hosting a fun review game in Google Meet covering what we have learned this week. Please log in to participate. After the review game I will be around to answer any final questions for the week until 1:30 pm. Reminder that there is no school on Friday or Monday of next week so I will not be hosting any Google Meet sessions those days.
