Today in Math we defined what a fraction was, thought of real life examples, and identified the parts of a fraction. Students also examined their multiplication and division unit test. They were able to ask questions and clarify what parts they did well on and or what they struggled with. Grades are posted on Powerschool.

Students will be coming home with a basic facts quiz today. Grades for that are also posted on Powerschool.

In Language Arts we looked for examples of Onomatopoeia (sound effect) from a variety of texts. Students then chose one example to create a visual representation for our classroom. This should hopefully help us to utilize this literary device in our writing.

In Social Studies we did a close read and answered comprehension questions on how women helped to change Canada. Ask you child one thing they learned in SS today.

We had a classroom meeting to discuss expectations for behaviour during lunchroom. Please have a discussion with your child about how they are expected to behave during lunchroom.

Math night is tomorrow evening from 6-8pm. Please join us to celebrate student learning!
