This week in Room 16 we have been hard at work.

Students started a new silhouette art project yesterday. They are going to finish off the paint portion of it tomorrow.

In math we have learned three different strategies for multi-digit multiplication. The strategies are the window method, traditional algorithm, and the lattice method. Ask you child what their preferred strategy is and how it works.

In language arts we worked on entertaining beginnings for our stories. Students practiced taking boring beginnings of stories and rewriting them utilizing one of the 6 strategies. Ask your child what one of the ways is and how they could use it to start a story that captures the readers attention. They will use this lesson to write their own story beginning tomorrow.

In science we have been working with circuitry. Students are now able to make both series and parallel circuits. Ask your child how each one works.

We had our final day of our guest dance instructor today.

Library books need to be returned back to school by this Friday.
