Today we had our Remembrance Day assembly. The students were solum and showed tremendous respect throughout.

In Math we did some practice with adding and subtracting decimals utilizing Mathletics. Students had a quiz for decimal place value and addition and subtraction yesterday. They will be marked and on power school soon.

In Science we reviewed for our unit test. We will write it on Tuesday next week after a quick final review. Each student was given a review sheet and encouraged to bring it home to study for 30 minutes over the weekend.

We have swimming starting Tuesday, November 12th. Students need to bring a swim suit, towel, and bag to carry their gear to and from the pool. 

 There is no school on Monday November 11th.

Today was a very exciting day. We had Ignite, Music, Math, PE, Language Arts speech presentations, and an amazing guest Opera performance in the afternoon! In Math students finished up their first data assignments. That is the last amount of class time they will receive and will have to be completed when they are finished other work or at home. The task is due Thursday. We are still working our way through speeches. They will be presented over the next few days. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Today we began our fractions unit in Math. Students started by creating fraction slips and then comparing fractions utilizing greater than, less than, and equal to with a partner.  In Language Arts students received their new words for the week. Students also continued  to type up the rough draft of their stories this week. The first draft of their story is due (typed up on Google Docs) by Wednesday. They will receive two more days to work on it at school. In Science we studies for our electricity unit test tomorrow. Students were given time to study in the class and ask questions. They were also given a study sheet for them to review tonight if they felt they needed a bit more time to study.  We also had Music, Ignite, and PE.  Mr. Berry created a website for our grade team.
